Exhibition on Anthropology

A 5-weeks long exhibition on Human Origin, Genome & People of India was organised in collaboration with the Anthropological Survey, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India which attracted large number of students, teachers and other visitors through days starting from 13th September 2008.

Skill upgradation training programme for tribal honey collectors

A skill upgradation training programme for tribal honey collectors was held at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in collaboration with TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India. At the end of the training session, honey collection and production kit were distributed to the trainees.

Science Seminar

A Science Seminar on Preservation of Biodiversity was held from 3rd June to 6th June 2008 in collaboration with Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search, Kolkata. More than 100 students and about 10 teachers participated from 5 other schols in addition to R.K. Mission H.S. School, Cherrapunjee when the following topics were covered for enlightenment of students/teachers by experts viz. Prof.(Dr.) Kalyan Mandi, Retd. Principal Scottish Church College, Kolkata and Prof.(Dr.) Swati Sen Mandi, Bose Institute, Kolkata.
